River in good nick and fining down nicely. Apparently it has dropped about 4 ft overnight. Managed seven barbel and lost 2.The biggest only went to 7.75 lb
but they were all in superb condition and put up a great scrap.

Well done Geoff. In the six hours after you left the other seven of us managed two chub between us.
I hope you had better luck, Mike. (Sheephills?) Cheers. |

Yeah well done Geoff thats a real result anywhere.
Not managed to get out at all since my session on the 17th, unable to go last Saturday then the wind on Sunday put me off (it was enough to blow the rod out of the rest!), so its typical that the river is in good nick and I can't get there! Hey ho thats life though. Off to Portugal for a week as of tomorrow so no barbelling for me til the end of next week. Was gonna try and get out tonight for a few hours but it is not looking favourable at the moment. Hope you all keep catching but leave a few for me when I get back! Julian |

Bon voyage Julian . Console yourself with the fact that the barbel will be that little bit bigger by the time you get back on the river |

Fished middle swale wednesday (11am til 11pm) - river up slightly, steady with good colour. One barbel at 8lb plus half a dozen chub. Was going to fish through
the night but the rats were doing my head in!

Ive had the Leeds book but didn't renew it this year because of all the matches
on the book. Think the Leeds book should think of better ways of informing their members of match bookings, so i know what your problem is casterblaster , when you've got to travel has far as i do then it is really annoying
