Cheers for the advice Shippo.... caught three barbel two both weighing 6lb 8oz..one at 5.4.. 8 chub biggest being around 4lb.....lost 3 barbel...aswell on the
play...got to get my head ...around using babrbed hooks !!!!... again cheers...

I just had 2 chub on slugs, had a good walk tho. Speaking to the other anglers there was just chub, roach caught and one had a 5lb tench.
The rest of the week off and nearly no fuel

Can anyone confirm that there is road works on the A36 towards Limpley stoke if you approach from the south....???
Last night fished Lacock,noticed some road signs that I think said this as I turned off for Lacock... P.S. - Blanked,only chubb getting caught around the lacock stretches last night. |

Had a couple of small barbs yesterday evening - most welcome. Both came from swims which must have been fished earlier.

Out yesterday had a 8lb 10oz first cast then a smaller one on the last cast... with a big chub showing to... will do me for the first day

Hi
I was Just wondering if anyone fishes the BA between Peckengell and Kellaways Bridge, I have been told that I stand a good chance of catching a few barbs there but it is a bit of a drive for me so I don't want to have a waisted journey given the current fuel costs. Any tips or advice would help greatly. Thank you Colin |

Just got back from a morning session on the BA.
Unbelievably I had the stretch I was fishing to myself all morning! It was nice to rove around instead of having to sit in the same swim as you often have to nowadays due to the popularity of Barbel fishing. Had a couple of small Chub and then a lovely 10lb 2oz Barbel, all were taken on an old stock of BFW Pellets which are at least 2 years old, due to me not fishing for over 18 months (children) My confidence in them wasn't that high to start with but it was nice to be proved wrong. Good luck everyone, I'm off to Lacock tomorrow, the best time to catch is when your catching, now where did I hear that. Cheers, Rob. |

Had a good opening day, didnt have much time to spare and fancied a bit of the excitement of waiting till midnight to start, but had to be up really early
for work so decided to just fish for 1 hour, 12 till 1. had this 12+ in the net within the hour.

Well done,Kev!!! Still maintaining the form
 ....heard about the 12 on the
'grapevine'.Cracking start!!! First evening session for me last night and managed one for 6.7 and a smallish chub.Quite quiet other than that,but good
watching that carbon flex again!!! .....still...we're under way...and might have
another go tomorrow....

Well done a great start to the season. I have been out twice with Pip
and only chub I'm afraid, had some great bites but could not connect. I will be out again this coming Sunday for the evening into the early hours so
