Used it on the lower Severn a number of times over the last 10 years or so.
Found it caught plenty of barbel, but also attracted the bream too........... and those nuisance carp. Steve |

Yeah it works but like any other fish you fish for using the 'method' there needs to be competition for food and if there isn't any then it
won't work, if the fish are really having it then it's a great method. I have used it myself on the Trent and used it when the fish were crawling up my
line, I had fantstic results for Barbel upto 6 lb and then I used it on a stretch with less Barbel but bigger fish and I blanked!
Certainly is a good method but like the Carp mate it's only a good method when the fish are competing for food. |

why would it be strange
not used it personally but i imagine that after a few casts of the method the fish may be overfed. I may be wrong but i imagine this would be the case on lesser populated rivers

the way i was thinking was a slow release of food items that will drift down stream drawing fish up
thinking about a longish hooklink and using it more or less in the same way as a conventional feeder |

it works on the taff mate, well it's worked for me at the right time, though changing rigs periodically always seems like a plan anyway

Used it to great effect on rivers with low populations. Get your mix right and apply it correctly..........(conditions and situations)
Would obviously work on rivers with higher stock levels, may just give it a go ! Paul M..... |

yea Paul maybe i didnt pick my words well, what i should of said is that it would be harder to apply on lesser populated rivers not that it wouldnt work. I
remember Matt Hayes on the lower Severn on the Great Rod Race had a fish on the method but that doesnt count for much really
