as ian says dont pre-bait a swim if it is a popular venue, seriously you will just end up not catching. what i normally do is bait drop some hemp out then 1
pva bag of pellets should do the job.

Chub King - How would you gain the fishes confidence then to feed throughout the day?
Like I said however the stretch I am intending on fishing is not popular, certainly not like the Severn at Bridgnorth or Bewdley and definately not like Collingham on the Tidal Trent, it used to be a stretch that held matches now and then but now very few are held there probably one a month and normally the place as very few anglers on it. It may have 3 or 4 anglers per 100 pegs so the prebaiting should work? Cheers mate, Ricky |

For the benefit of the guys that dont know,
pellets can be driilled quickly and effortlessly using a dremel drill or similar, it takes me less than 5 minutes to drill more than enough for a weekends hookbaits |

have to agree there john i do mine at work with the drill so i get paid for drilling pellets but once you get going you can drill a lot of pellets in a very
short time i did three dip tubs full in 15 minutes and hinders 10mm elips the drill just sails through those

Elips pellets | ||

Hi can anyone tell me if there is any difference in Elips pellets? I've got some from Hinders & Teme Severn, are they the same? I do realise the name
comes from the shape not the make up, but they seem pretty similar..

I've just placed an order with Teme Severn looks like delivery is £7 however much you order. There seems to be no local places I can go to so happy to mail
order.
At that price I've decided to go for smaller amounts and renew when necessary; saves storing too much for a long time... John |

Be careful if you bye Elips there used to be two different flavored ones Salmon and one standard , Salmon flavor is by far the best but they do not do them
anymore that's from Hinders they only do the standard ones.
No need to pre-bait 6 or 7 10mm Elips in a pva and leave it there till you get a 3ft bite and shes yours. I have used the standard ones drilled, soaked in Salmon oil over night and then frozen it works as well, When you freeze any bait it takes in more flavor .Hope this helps and Good Luck for the new season . There was 3 types i think, elips , halips and salips obviously the last two refers to halibut and salmon, not sure what the elips represents though
as they were all a flattened type pellet maybe Andy Francis, Andy Davies or Bob Gill can enlighten us a bit i dont think elipse with an e at both ends is a spelling mistake....j.w |

i'll give the pro logic types some time to work this season.
bait tech barbel busters are also very good but only in early season for some strange reason. |
