Has anyone fished the Severn at Atcham? Is it worth fishing?

a very pretty place and some nice enjoyable fishing Dean, tickets for the day ticket stretches used to be available from the post office\shop in Atcham,

Not fished it for years but had barbel up to 8lb there, plenty of em too. Big eels and some massive Pike. Fishing for barbel with a feeder and on retrieval a Pike of around 15lb plus took the feeder but let go as it was just coming to the net !!!!! Worth walking a bit down river too. |

Some nice hard fighting Barbel at Atcham. We have had them up to 101/2 pound.
Loads of chub, nice pike as well. Tight lines

Atcham Bridge | ||

No night fishing on the very short DT stretch unless that has changed recently.
The PAAS stretch downstream and upstream of the bridge of course does allow that, but strictly no Day Tickets. Up to about 10 years ago, the Left Bank upstream of the bridge was DT but PAAS were offered and acquired it. iv done a few nights at atcham, been told its a good area not just for barbel but chub carp and roach. canoes can be a pain though. the barbel in my pic i had
outa atcham.
