Yup maybe ye right bud but lve worked out lve 30 fishing days in between weekends that l can fish before l leave ...no harm in wishing everyone a gud un for 2008 though... Maybe see ye sometime.. Cheers |

Yes I aim to be doing a lot more fishing and less surfing!! hopefully my new bait and the new swims/fish I have found will be playing come the 16th! I have
been pre-feeding them and they appear to be taking the bait! I love it when you find a new swim with visible fish. It makes fishing more exciting when you can
see the fish take the bait.

Guys,
I'm a long way from home for the start of the season and will miss the opening on my local river but I must be out fishing, I have been told there is a free stretch of the Tees behind Teesside airport, anyone know if this is correct and if so where is the access? Any help appreciated. |

Hi Danesevern there used to be a free stretch at middleton one row not sure if it's still free but there aren't many barbel round there in truth, you
would be better of on the blackwell free stretch or broken scar.

Thanks barbuscluelus, I have been down to Blackwell for a look and its only 15 minutes drive. I will only be able to manage short sessions in the evenings but
better than nothing!

neasham is at neasham village mate stretch runs for about a mile look for the pub the river is behind it, it's not behind the airport. Never fished it for
years barbel used to be caught at either end of this stretch, wouldn't exactly call it crabtree though you need to take out a club membership for that sort
of stuff.

wasting my time there ,i will be fishing there sometime this year ,pm me if you fancy a meetup to fish those unfished parts ..
