To all the ouser barbelers,
Good luck to you all, for the info of anyone thinking of doing a bit of fish spotting.....Dont bother the river was falling back nicely over this weekend after what appears to be its seasonal summer flood levels!! when it started to really lash down over the last few hours and the forecast isnt great for the next few days with heavy rain due to fall 'north of Bedford'. The levels had dropped back but they are rising again even after a few hours of rain. The colour was dropping out as i walked over the Oakley bridges this afternoon, although i wasnt able to see the gravel bars... Tight lines to one and all, and if Stewie (Ousemeister) if you want to give up any secrets on the those big barbel i am always available for a few tips..... Adam |

Your dead right,its still raining in Bedford for the last 24hrs,and at times its really poured down....Just driven through Sharnbrook and Oakley and the rain
water is running off the fields,it must be filling the river up very quickly..and if Milton keynes has had the rain even more so. The river will be spot on
come the start and had a real flush through,hopefully lifting some of the dead weed and cleaned up the gravel bars between the streamer weed. NOT LONG
NOW,anyone out on the opening night/day?

Unfortunately I am on earlies the first week, won't be out until the first weekend, will have to make do with reading the reports until then. Off to Hampshire on the 28th for a fortnight , the Big Mac is going into hiding when I have the compound booked(can't take the excitement). Won't be seriously fishing the Ouse until I get back the middle of July,was hoping to get out the weekend I return but have the inlaws coming down from Manchester so will have to concentrate on "pubbing". Will you be getting out more often this season, hope to bump into you on the bank. Look forward to seeing posts of your catches the first week. Regards Phil

Nothing worse than the 'out-laws' at the start of the season
Hopefully I should get a fair bit more fishing in this season-fished the compound last season and it was %#+$.
