just got back from aldi's ,they're havng a fishing tackle sale again !
http://uk.aldi.com/uk/html/offers/offers_week23sunday08.htm I brought the bag and the lure set ,spare landing net plus a set of the polorised glasses i'll be popping into netto tomorrow as well as they too are selling tackle again . http://viewer.zmags.com/showmag.php?linksid=1462#/page6/ probably just get the lure sets ,as they might be cheap but in new / snaggy swims make ideal starter lures too test the water with.

i only took up barbel fishing towards the end of last season. But i have bought a pair of shimano 5000 aero baitrunners, a greys barbel rod 2lb test curve,
some ron thompson chest waders, and a korum 3 rod holdall. Just got to get some polaroids and a dog spike and rope. Bring on the 16th !! |

Had a trip to CC Moore yesterday and stocked up on a few pellets.
Already to go now, oh well June the first today not long to go now.

After reading Chavender's post regarding Aldi tackle offer I thought I'd have a look. I wasn't expecting much as I'd seen the garbage they
tried to shift at Lidl a while back but I have to say I am pleasantly surprised. I purchased, the no frills title 'Fishing Bag'.
http://uk.aldi.com/uk/html/offers/2867_6110.htm I'm usually of the opinion buy cheap buy twice but this little bag is quite remarkable for 6 quid. Ok I'll problably dispense of the tacky plastic box inside but as I think it will perfect as a small stalking bag. I can honestly say that if this bag had a popular fishing tackle manufacturers name emblazoned on it, it could easily cost £20. Ben
