Fished Longfield (next to the Medway) from dawn today. Temperature declining at 60degrees and ended by losing one decent tench on a hook-pull after a minute or so. Managed to get the ducklets feeding on corn but didn't have the same success with the fish. River rose a couple of feet by the time I packed up at 1pm; very chocolatey. Looked good conditions for the barbel so here's hoping for some nice warm floods in a month.
