Petworth & Bognor Angling Club is celebrating its first successful year as a new club with an 'Evening of Angling Chat' on Friday 23 May 2008.
Guest speakers include Jon Berry, author of 'A Can of Worms'. Non-members are welcome to attend - please see the club's website for further

The guest speaker sounds like a bit of a non-entity, but I believe that Matt Hayes, Rod Hutchinson, Linda Lusardi and Ed the Duck were all booked elsewhere..
On the plus side, if any bfw regulars come down, say hello and I may even open my wallet. One pint, fifty straws... Jon |

Nope. I certainly would go to Jon's talk in Bognor this evening, but I can't - Jon's book, "A Can of Worms", was a refreshing antidote to the Leadcore Rig Mania and Wot Boilie Syndrome that pervades modern barbel fishing. Good luck, Jon. |

Just like to add last nights talk was very good.
All three speakers done themselves proud, a lot of effort and organization went into their talks, and I can honestly say I enjoyed every moment! 
Nice to meet some old mates (Martin/Brad/Steve) and some new guys who I'm sure our paths will cross this season
Again really nice evening, thanks to the club for laying this on.

Good to see you last night at Bognor after 20 years or so. Glad you enjoyed the talks. Off tomorrow for another 100 mile round trip to the Tench pit. Going for the record (that is, 7 sessions and 700 miles clocked up without a run). Cheers, Martin. |
