Went to Cornhill farm last Sun and fished the first lake, first sesh for nearly six weeks. One on the waggler for bits and the other on the carp gear. Had
plenty of orfe and small carp to 2lb but nothing on the boillie rod. Hopefully going to Thorpe perro either Sat or Sun then Monday probably Cornhill again.
Not long to wait now 7 weeks and counting !!!! JonnyB |

Were is Thorpe perro at?
For my sins I got to take my youngest son ( 8 ) and nephew ( 7 ) to Eden Meadows on Sunday. Talk about hard graft, I was optimistic (deranged) enough to set up a rod for myself. Spent most of the day sorting the two lads out, at least they had a cracking day and managed to catch some roach and skimmers. Was quite busy on the bottom lake and seemed to be plenty of carp moving and a few getting caught. Pity they don't allow floating baits as the carp were feasting on crusts people had tossed in the water after baiting with flake. Still must have bagged some brownie points for my efforts. |

Just a couple of new rules on the NYSD Dinsdale water for those lucky enough to be members.Fishing is now MON to SAT only.
Mon to Fri fishing is dawn to dusk all anglers to be off the water before darkness Sat fishing is until 4.00pm only this will be strictly enforced.I repeat fishing stops on Sat at 4.00pm. No Barbel in keepnets, fish to be retained only for recovery.Any photography to be done should be quickly done with fish welfare to be always paramount. All anglers to be in possession of their NYSD clubs cards These will be checked regularly by either our gamekeeper or our 3 bailiffs. ANYONE BREAKING ANY OF THESE RULES WILL RECEIVE AN INSTANT BAN FROM THE WATER |

Hi Dinsdaleman ,arnt those rules just a little inconsiderate for some people that work 6 days a week and and only have saturdays afternoons and sunday to fish
,whats the point of joining a club that tells you what day you can fish ..next the new rule will be fishing from 9am-5pm mon-fri only...
(No Barbel in keepnets, fish to be retained only for recovery.Any photography to be done should be quickly done with fish welfare to be always paramount.) That is a good rule all clubs should have......

Hey dinsdaleman i wasnt having a go at the silly rules ,tho looking at what u put and looking at the match calender ,this rule is just benefitting the matchman
as all the matches are on a sunday ,hence the get of the water before 4pm on a sat ,myself i dont care ,this is a discussion forum and i will say what i like..

Never heard of such a rediculous rule, totally agree with pikehunter, im sure plenty of people who read this will be curious as to the reasoning behind it.
