Morning all, On the teme for first time this year tomorrow, just wondered how its fishing at the moment? Lads who im going with are going to be fishing maggots
for grayling and trout and in two minds whether to do the same or whether to sit it out for barbel with pellet / boillie. Thanks Chris

Thanks Alan- good result you had there,
Opted for the maggot feeder in the end and had couple of small grayling and a few chub upto about 2 1/2 but no barbel. Enjoyed my day all the same and was nice to be getting activity throughout the day as appose to watching a stationary tip all day hoping for that one bite. Very cold, very low and very clear. Good luck to anyone whos out between now and end of season. Chris |

Frank,
Try BAA stretches, all good with extra water on. Large lumps of smelly meat close in should do the business Tight lines Alan |

Frank.. was out today above Lindridge. Level dropped 3" during 4hrs that I was there. Colour is only moderate. Fair bit of flow, but not much debris. I
had two barbs (6-14, 4-6), and as 4spoke said, they were on.. "large lumps of smelly meat"!! Fish were fat and fought well. Lovely day, bit blowy
though!

I've certainly enjoyed the handful of trips (4) I've had since New Year and intend to increase my knowledge of this beautiful river more come the new
season. I've only recently moved to the area and am still yet to attach to my first Teme barbel. I trust this will be a different story when I can see
where they are.Should anyone require any tips on catching Teme chub however, I'm your man.....
Enjoy the quiet months! Mike |

new seasons dreams | ||

The Teme has always been one of my favourite rivers and has been very good to me. It never fails to delight and inspire my fishing regardless whether I catch
or not. Most of all I feel at home when I go there.
I have fished many areas on her from Ludlow down to Worcester, on BAA and other local club stretches and this coming season areas which I have driven by but never thought I would I ever get the chance to. This new area for me will provide a perfect hideaway, a chance to fish somewhere rarely fished for barbel which don't come into contact with anglers baits. Where is this place you may ask? Well you know I cant answer that The thought of fishing this area will keep me going through the next three months as I carefully plan my new season. Good luck to everyone on the Teme this year. Tight lines Alan |
