Local still waters for pike? |

Now that the closed season is upon us I was looking for any local to me (oldbury area) day ticket venues I could try for pike, any info would be greatly
appreciated as I've never really dabbled on still waters for pike before.

sandwell valley use to be ok.
west brom,great barr way....but there's been a lot of fish taken out by easten european's(manly carp of the top). give it a try,it use to be free to fish.....mark

Had a look at sandwell council website and it's £2.50 a day which isn't to be ignored, I'll have to give it a soon. |

Hi bigwhale, Edgebaston res also has alot of pike in it. I used to fish Sandwell valley aswell for pike a few years ago. From 1 local lad to another
Oldbury born and bread..
If only everything in life was as easy as catching a barbel |

Just checked B'ham council website and they have a closed season on edgbaston reservoir
 Just out of interest how's the general coarse fishing on
Sandwell Valley lake, what species are in there?

Sandwell species = tench, bream, roach, pike and perch thats if they havn't all been eaten..

there's a lot of carp in there to.in the summer you can see them in the shallows by the island,if there's any left in there.
a mate of mine had a 3lb chub out of there when we were kids........ .
but that was about 25 years ago.grew up in great barr and use to fish there a lot,when i was young...mark

Bigwhale there is patsull . Chase water. Use to fish them ages ago not to sure what they like .Galiley use to do day tickets . Im from Sedgley and to be honest we not got the best pike waters by us. |

Yes I know there's a lack of pike waters in the area that's why I put the post on here in the hope I had missed something. No harm in asking though
