Got a day off tomorow - is the river fishable ( had a shed load of rain here in Cotswolds) - don't want wasted journey / last day , can cope with it being
up and coloured - can anyone help?

Fished Monday and today,Barton area ish . Had 4 yesterday up to 10lb in gin clear 8C low water.Blanked this afternoon in an additional foot of muddy water. I
couldn,t wait to cast in. Conditions looked perfect,not a touch. Water 7C today,this must have been a factor [ classic excuse when I blank].Hope this helps !!

Having a last chance session for a barb or two on Friday, will probably stay untill i get one

Hi guy's, fished pershore yesterday. No barbs but had a few knocks, landed a nice 4lb 10oz chub though from the corner swim by the stream cutting. There
was a couple of others fishing but it was slow, was it anyone from the forum? Suppose thats it till mid june :-(

Welcome to BFW....Yep I know where you were fishing, and have spent a number of hours along that stretch. Not sure if the match angling has improved the fishing or otherwise, but I too have had some huge chub out of there, one memorable evening I had two over six pounds!! As far as barbel go it does throw upthe odd double, but not prolific, probably too much bankside disturbance. Well done on the nice chub always good to get a bend in the carbon.

Thanks for all the advice to no avail I blanked sunday,monday and tuesday. info water temps Sunday morning 44.2 evening 46.1, monday morning 44.1, evening 45.3, tuesday morning 44.1,evening 45.2. Hope it helps Colin |
