Ya know, HominiStupido, when "Certain People" start calling mere coarse-fishing rods (or ANY rods, for that matter) "Grunt2 Method" (or
"World Domination, Graphite IX, International Fly", for that matter), I start myself to thinking that some Amoral, Greedy, Marketing - Here
Today, Gone Tomorrow - Corporate Boys are beginning to s-t-r-e-t-c-h Their Brief a tad too far (and are also beginning to get on Proper Anglers' Backs,
even T1ts)...
Ho hum. Not for Them, of course, such unsporting backbiting on my part... But for US, who make their ongoing, masterba(i)te/ory, self-indulgence possible...

Mathieu,
Have you still not bought any barbel rods? For the amount of money you want to spend there are a lot of rods which are very similar in quality and characteristics (possible made on the same blanks), they all come from China. It is not a good use of your time to be worrying too much about which one is best because they are all about the same. Having said that TFG does appear to be of reasonable quality and a lot of users in this country are very happy with TFG equipment they have purchased. And it's not too expensive. Go for it. And hurry up a post a pic of your first barbel. Mark. Paul, he's French you know. |

Paul, The lad is from France and asked a simple question, that required a simple answer mate. Not exactly good for French-Anglo relations was it!? Daftmen writes better English than we could French...cut him SOME slack please! Dazza.

Draftmen,
I think (?) what Paul is saying is....Don't buy a rod because of the name. Look through other threads on rod recomendations. I would also like to see a picture of your 8 lb'er. I fish, therefore I am... |

Sorry to Paul if I done anything bad (it wasn't my intention)
Thank you Cornovii for your encouraging message.I will do that and explain the techniques I use for catch some barbel. I would say a very BIG T-H-A-N-K to Mark partridge who is a very good teacher, his advise were very ineteressant, and very productive and help me for catch the FRENCH barbel. Mark if you read me: it's for you: thank for all! If jackpiker is right about what Paul said, I don't look about the name, but I didn't found information about the rod, also I told you if it's a good rod(the rod can be name "princess" it doesn't mater, the rod Quality and utilty does mater for me)

Daftmen, What a thoroughly pleasent chap you are, un-like some on here! Makes me feel almost ashamed to be an Englishman...almost! You certainly have not "done anything bad" far from it my friend! But others here, would rightly feel ashamed! Please do explain how you caught your fish...beats reading the usual 'I'm an expert' stuff we have to read on here. An insight to 'Euro-barbel fishing' would be a breath of fresh air on here! And well done to Mark P, if he's been of great help to you in your quest too. If I can be of any help too, I'd be pleased to help. Best regards, Dazza
