Fished Gabalfa on weekend and City centre yesterday . And what a supprise fires everywher and even two polish cooking a fish. Phoned E.A said they couldnt do
anything they was all tied up.

It almost makes me laugh at how chicken ##!! shese E.A Bailifs actually are!
If they were to undertake a small crack down on Eastern European Chub munchers fishing and pillaging our waters, word would surely spread in the Polish community and an impact would surely be made! If they were to be a little more active and consistant then they would catch these licence dodgers!!! For Gods sake, we see them nearly everytime we are on the river these days so surely that tells you that they aren't that hard to bloody catch in the act! Do the EA even want to find themselves in a position where they have to challenge a family on Czech Gippsies on a cold winters evening at Blackweir?? No, they would rather patrol the commercials busting one time anglers who are taking their chances! |

Surely as members you have the right to challenge this ? Obviously they aren't members so you as a member are entitled to ask to see their licence. Phone the baliff is another option. I think we are going to have to baliff\police our waters if we are to protect them from the scourge that is happening to our waters. then again apathy reigns surpeme! Brian

Though that does seem a nice idea Brian, What would you reply to someone who tells you to F*** off when you ask to see their licence?
Club members do not have photo I.D to go around checking Membership cards and daytickets, would our own club card surfice? Besides, even if we were to go around checking, what exactly do we have the authority to do if people fail to produce? Tell them to pack up and go home? That could prove interesting! I fish the Taff alone quite often and don't like the idea of my new friend walking past when I'm at the foot of a wall trying to fish!!! Besides its not my job to go around challenging the unsavoury sorts that plague our rivers!, why should I risk a mouthful or worse a slap for No effect!!! Massive respect to G.A baliffs for the time they dedicate for free, but the E.A are paid quite handsomly to police our waters so have no excuse for not doing their bloody job properly! A Fella a few posts back said he phoned the E.A to tell them that the last super was taking place on the river and they said that they were unable to attend! It's illegal activity for F***s sake! If the E.A couldn't be arsed to phone the police, what hope do we have! Luke Richards |

Had the newsletter today.......GAC seem to think that the " EA have arrested several poachers on the Taff, which can only be good news for all of us and
does give local clubs such as GAC confidence that the EA are trying to stop illegal angling"
EA obviously havent managed to get past Sofia Gardens yet then??

fished with pop ups,meat, boilies and pellets with a feeder only ever seem to catch on the meat . |

spoke to a lady checking the water quality at a well known river and we got talking about water bailiffs and she informed me that at st mellons there are only
three enforcement officers for the whole area.so the odds on seeing an e.a bailff while you are fishing are small .when asked about our fish munching mates
from the east i was told to report them and the e.a. will act,but somehow i doubt that they will.
