Paul. I think in the extra water they like to hold station.
They simply didn't know they were hooked and stayed pressed onto the bottom not feeling the pressure of the rodtop. I happens quite a lot in my experience in floodwater. Graham

Fished 10.00am to 4pm today, river flooding over the fields everywhere, managed to find an accessible stretch..........water rising and steady temp of 5
degrees C, thought it might be too cold but had a go anyway, really glad I did as I had one bite for a new Loddon PB of 13lb 5oz.
Picture doesn't really do it justice (haven't mastered self photography yet and very rarely take photos):
Very happy Crooky

Well done Crooky, fantastic fish so well worth the effort. Was this on the FAS stretch or somewhere else? SE very high this morning at 09:00 with water just
about to cascade over the banks, by 16:00 it had dropped about 6 inches and on the way down. Fields very very waterlogged and hard work in places even around
the edges. Not many about today.
cheers John

Thanks for the input Graham. I had some thoughts along those lines but the swim was relatively slow + I fish with fairly short links. ( Haven't forgotten
our 'date' but too busy at the 'mo!)
Congratulations on a super fish Ian - I would also like to know if it was on a FAS stretch? Hope to be out again tommorrow afternoon - is it likely to be within its banks? Regards Paul. |

Hi Justin,
Different stretch today Justin, didn't think I would be able to get there as the river was over the fields just about everywhere.........good luck tomorrow, I think you will struggle to get to the river there though!!
