Must have been a great sight to behold Bryce , I have never seen one in the wild , perhaps it's the Peregrine rod that does it !!

Fished newby hall (westwick lock side) here for one of the first times in winter and fished in the slow water down below the lock.
Banked one barb of about 4lb and 2chub and a brown trout which was a plesent suprise. Also had six eels on lobbys even though they arnt my favourite fish they are in decline so were all put back safley Not a bad day but would of liked a bigger barb but you cant have every thing especially after snow melt Tight lines and get out there after heavy warm rain the barbel love it |

Hi Bryce. We had a decent day upstream of you on friday.Fished above Ripon for the last 3 days.Barbel shown up on all 3 days due to the sudden warm
weather.Succesful bait was bunched white maggots. Biggest one was a whisker (I know its an awful pun!) under 9lbs.Shook the scales a few times but he
wouldn't go to the mark.Heard skylarks both today and yesterday so spring may be on its way.
