Had an afternoon session at collingham stretch on Thursday 27th. Conditions looked spot on with no debri coming down, and following 3 or 4 really mild
nights,thought it could be a cracking session.HOW WRONG CAN YOU BE! 6 hours,with the last 2 into darkness,and not a sniff.Tried pellet,meat and multiple
different flavours of boilies and not a sniff.Trust me to forget the small hooks to match the casters i had remembered. The blokes either side of me had a
couple each but i managed to end the year on a low.I was talking to the Baliff and noticed he hadn't got his ever present dog with him.Apparently he had
lost her in the river in the summer after an unfortunate incident with some discarded gas cannisters. The clowns at the Wier will only have themselvs to blame
if they loose the fishing on that stretch!Happy new year to all Trent Anglers out there. Rob.

Does anyone know the current river level/colour? I fancy a bit of chubbing! Cheers.

And to you Spiros, has John stopped catching everywhere yet?
Trents at 7.5c, you should have a few. |

Given the rain forcast for the next 48 hours many rivers will be a lot higher by wednesday.
