Apologies if this has been covered before. (Not been here since the dawn of BFW time)
An interesting point was made in the 'Opinion Vs Opinion' section of the Angling times this week regarding 'Fish records' and naming fish..
IMO the naming of fish such as those in well known 'specimen' waters smacks of 'tweeness' and encourages oppressive angling.. Everyone one gunning to catch 'Teardrop' 'Two-tone' or 'Benson' etc..etc..
With the current British record barbel now deceased; 'The Traveller'....
The guy in AT who isn't particularly pro records, pretty much echoes my sentiments on the subject..
