Thinking of getting one for Mullet in Chi Harbour, Carp in a small local snag free lake and of course Barbel in this case, the Colnbrook at Wraysbury ! Your views would be much appreciated.

Posts: 106 (15/10/07 08:47) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	I don't know about the series 7, but i have an original 1.5 lb super specialist twin top, which has plenty of power and is a lovely rod, much more beef than its little 1.25lb brother, (which i also have for chubbing). The 1.5lb should cope handsomely with everything you want to use it for... Have a look about on the internet, you should be able to get an original super specialist, its a much better rod, though more expensive.

Can only cast up to 3oz though so big feeders and heavy leads are out. With a 1oz lead it casts for miles and the glass tips are very sensitive and strong. It is very well matched to my Okuma Sheffield centrepin and is just as good when coupled up with a coffee grinder. Overall this rod is very comfortable to use and has landed me quite a few commercial carp as well as wild bream, tench, perch and chub.
