Hi All,
Just surprised that nobody has commented on the beautiful hampshire Avon picture on the homepage!!! Looks brilliant.... Best Barbel John Look ye also while life lasts. |

hi,john yes it does look nice,but not a stretch i reconise,as i cant place that bridge.i would say it could be on the upper reaches,maybe longford estate,but not sure.just another reason why i cant bring myself to fish any other river,since the first day i saw it,when i was 12years old and mum and dad took me on holiday to christchurch,i just fell in love with it,and nothings changed since.regards derek.

That is actually a stretch up near Salisbury. It runs right up to Salisbury Cathedral.

Few and far between Guy. I have to say though it isn't a bad place to fish.

Barbel are indeed thin on the ground on this bit, but I've caught some nice bags of Roach, Dace and Chub from opposite the house.
It is also day ticket. John |
