From the web : Locate an image (on the web) you wish to link to, right-click and select "view image",
highlight the URL from the address panel then press both <ctrl> and <c> keys together (this copies the URL)
Start typing your post and when you get to the place you want to insert the image press the "Insert Hyperlink" button (looks like links of a chain). Delete the contents of the URL box and immediately press both <ctrl> and <v> keys (this pastes the URL); type into the "Text" box what you want to appear in your post; then click "OK" The example below is done that way For blah blah ... a picture of the rings see this image here ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TIP : If you tick the "preview" box ............. before you click the "post" button you can see whether the post looks as you wanted. If YES then click "post", if NO then edit the message and click the "preview" button again. Continue until all is ok, then click the "post" button without ticking the "preview" button. Alternatively you can simply click "post" button and if it doesn't look right you must edit the post (by clicking the "edit" just below your username to the left of the post) and then click the "edit" button when done. paul4

But be aware that once you get it right, ie. the image appears in the post, you won't be able to (easily)
edit it - normally you woudn't want to but if you wanted to change the image you can't, you'd have to delete it and do it over again.
As before, locate an image (on the web) you wish to insert the link to, right-click and select "view image", highlight the URL from the address panel then press both <ctrl> and <c> keys together (this copies the URL) Start typing your post and when you get to the place you want to insert the link, type the whole line - ie. that in brackets an add URL by pressing both <ctrl> and <v> keys together (this pastes the URL), then the text you want; then that in brackets eg. similar to For blah blah blah ... a picture of rings see [ link = http:// i4.photobucket.com/ albums/ y127/ paul4pix/ two_rings.jpg] this image here [ /link] But you DON'T need the spaces within the [] and [] brackets or those anywhere along the same line of text - IF I type here without the spaces it will automatically convert the code and the image will appear, which is what you want to achieve but in this post you wouldn't be able to see what I typed  ">
