Might be moving from Reading to Kent (anywhere from Medway Towns to Tonbridge/Sevenoaks) this year - leaving my lovely Kennet far behind. Is the Medway a consolation? And if anyone wants to talk on PM about where I might want to get tickets for etc... I'd be really grateful. It might have an influence on where we buy a house!

Posts: 196 (10/02/07 01:19) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	the man to really ask is nathan, but since I also fish the medway, my opinion is - yes. barbel to mid teens reported this year, chub 6lb+. plenty of fish all the way from top to bottom, inc tributaries, and you can enjoy what is probably the best (and last) of the countryside that used to be the garden of england. will try to get some pix to you once I can work out how to download from my phone. species include grayling, chub, barbel, trout, river carp, all coarse species to decent size (roach to 3lb, I believe), plus if you move to the medway towns you will have harbour mullet, quality bass and cod on your doorstep. sturgeon also caught at tonbridge! fair collection of still waters around, if that rings your bell. all stretches of the river are accessible in good time: I can get to maidstone from gravesend in 20 mins, or tonbridge in 30. you could reach the barbel stretches of the river in similar time from medway towns. will that do? regards and potentially welcome dan
