Another cracking Thames fish on the home page today, well done Jack on a lovely catch.
 Any Thames fish comes at a premium of work, a double is a delight, so to see another 15lber is fantastic. Be intersted to know if its another Lower river lump Dave |

Very good Doug.
Catch plenty every season mate so no digging needed from me old chap. The Lower river is large piece of water so I suppose I should have asked if it was anywhere between Staines and Teddington, that should narrow it down a bit. |

I know you do Dave, I have been watching with envy via the computer.
I have never had much luck on the Thames, fished it loads but never seem to locate them. However, this seems to have been the best year for a while for those who post on this site. SneakyPete placed a thread about boat traffic and related catch rates. The increased success rates of anglers targeting barbel this season could coincide with the increase in boat traffic on the river. Last year was warm, more people got out on the river and more booked the big disco boats. It would be good to get some comeback from other anglers who fish rivers with a lot of boat traffic to see if there catch rates have increased. |
