Posts: 28 (17/10/06 11:10) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Tags : None Dear all, On thursday 5th October 2006 whilst fishing just below the power station in Ironbridge my BFW i-power Rod fell (or dived I'm not sure) into the Severn. I panicked and tried to retrieve it, nearly fell into the river in the process but could not recover it. I should be grateful therefore, if anyone comes across a BFW i-power with a Union Jack, Bob Grevitt and the words "Happy Retirement from your friends at the FSA" - (photo of my rod can be seen at the bottom of the page of the attached link): www.barbel.co.uk/site/shop/pages/customrodoptions.htm please would you let me know. I really hope that somebody finds it and returns it to you. You can replace rods, so think yourself very luck that you did not drift down stream with it! Best wishes Claire

Get a jerkbaiting rod or heavy lure rod with heavy braided line tie a couple of large trebles with a lead weight on the end. And go and drag the bottom. I have retrieved two rods in this manner for other people - one on the Ebro, one on the Thames. Good Luck

The area I fished from was on the stretch below the Power station just up from the main car park. Steve - it was the swim down the river from where Mark fished when you took us there on that Saturday. I cast out 5 yards to the left of the peg as you look out across the river - still using your cage feeding from the same fishing session. Once again thank you for your kind offer. I not too hopeful as I walked the river the following morning (from where we fished to the Ironbridge) with a pair of binoculars, but to no avail. Posts: 230 (21/10/06 23:18) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	I was with Bob when it happened,and it might be worth moting that the 3oz feeder probably held bottom or got hung up, the line across the river pulled the (floating) rod away from the bankside and I know the baitrunner was engaged,so it might be 150yds plus down river. Do hope someone comes across it .

The stretch was fishing well that day but not this peg, so I spent and hour having a cast around to no avail. Sorry I couldn't help out but I am sure SCUBA man will come to the rescue.
