Cheapest Barbel Rod |

Hello, my mate's wife has asked me to help her buy a barbel rod for him on his birthday. She has a very modest budget and I was hoping some of you guys could help suggest a website and rod to go for. He will need a 1.5 tc 12 foot rod for mainly feeder or ledger fishing on medium sized rivers.

Steve/Oliver,
You are right, Climax have got the nash barbel elite at £40, on the nose. I bought one of the nash specialist tench float rods from climax and they are nicely finished. Gary Knowles (aka barney ribble) has reviewed the 2lb test elite on fishing magic and recommends it for a flooded ribble, but i would say the 1.5 or 1.75 should be okay for medium rivers. www.climaxtackle.com Tab down the front page to the Nash advert. Steve,
I only remembered it cos ive bought from climax before (top service by the way) and have recently been looking at adding to my range of barbel rods. The nash tri tip and x-lite look fairly good for the price especially the x-lite, but i prefer to try before buy to make sure its what i'm after. Mind you at £40 for the elite, worth taking the risk.
