I have had an offer to fish the Mole between West End Common and Heywood. Does anyone know this stretch and whats in it? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Mark Street may have a better idea on this area, think he fishes the Cobham Court area and beyond. There is likely to be a few Barbel there though, as seem to work their way up from the Thames at Hampton Court.

Mr Friar,
I know of the stretch you refer to, but alas don't know if there are any Barbel present. Plenty of chub and silver fish, and a few good carp. I'll ask my mate at work if he can shed any light on it and let you know tomorrow. Mark. |

Mr Friar,
chub abound in the Mole, the bit I fish has produced a shed full of 4lb+ fish, topped by my pb of 5lb 7oz. Sadly only one hooked and lost Barbel for all my efforts. Moving house at present so fishing of any form is off the cards for some time. Rkeywood, as and when things get sorted I'll give you a shout. Mark. ps, anyone having problems with spellcheck ?. |
