I have a woollen knit cap that can be pulled down over the ear facing the wind if needed....and I have to admit, also one of those cowboy looking ones in green. (not worn in company, but it does keep the crowds away)The only excuse I can offer is that it was only 5.00. Which one is the plonker cap I'm not sure? I remember seeing Chris Yates in a real kosher deer stalker, and really he did look a plonker. Whats your "special" headgear? and is it a lucky hat? Graham

I have a wide brimmed green jobby but if its cold my fav. is a fleecy tassly job from Gap. I look a real plonker but it's the warmest thing I've ever worn on me head so what do I care..... Posts: 699 (15/01/02 22:05) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	yep i got me a lucky hat, i dug out an old army jungle hat from the back of my cupboard and decided to wear it for the first time fishing on july 2nd 2001, caught my first 2 barbel that day and i have worn it ever since. except at the moment i wear an esp fleece hat to keep the ears warm when its as nippy as it has been recently. havn't caught a fish since i've been wearing it though, apart from a few small pike when i took a school mate out for his birthday, but they ain't half as good as a barbel. cheers Dan

Sky blue hat with dragon motif on front for day. Base ball type cap with fish on from disneyland. good for sunny days. I like the knitted one best. .......Liam

Summer and Autumn see's me sporting a choice of 3 baseball caps. One grey with Fishing Is Life One black with Capt Andy's Tackle Shop, Kenya One blue with the Arsenal on Winter has a blue woolly Arsenal job. I think I look great but others seem to disagree ! My second is a Barbour Brown Cord farmer Jim type. Thirdly comes my fleece 'Tea Cosy' - in brown. Posts: 148 (15/01/02 23:14) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	My lucky hat has to be an old green denim baseball cap that I got from Gator Land in Florida many years ago,it has to live in the back of my car now abit smelly,sweat,luncheon meat grease essence of worm etc.Cold weather hat is a natty green lumberjack type hat with fleecy earflaps which makes me look like a bearded spaniel according to the kids. Ps Nice to have some fun and actual fishing threads again on the site,I must admit I was getting abit depressed with some of the stuff. Peace on earth!!

This one gives me a groove on my forehead which lasts for a day or so after though - hat too small or head too big? A black benny hat - over the ears job if needed. I'm not given to looking in mirrors so I couldn't care less in fact - warm or comfy is best. paul

Posts: 699 (15/01/02 23:25) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	rooting around a cupboard i have found several more hats, hardly any of them i wear now, i have found a genuine usaf baseball type cap - stormin norman style but green camou, would match my esp suit perfectly, now theres a thought..... also a farmer type flat cap ( would have the nerve to wear that anywear other than the farm estate here! ) a couple of blackburn hats in lovely blue and white with red rose on front, which sometimes get worn in the summer when we are playing for good luck ( i'm superstitious when it comes to rovers' games ) and a big huge black wooly hat, which you will all have a laugh at when you see the picture of my 13, should be in the next barbel fisher if the disc worked ok. i've just about given up with my scanner. my old man's got the best one, straight from the 70's, or was it 80's?, with sh*t happens on it, classic! might try a bit of variety from now on see if any of them produce any more luck than my jungle one. cheers Dan

I resisted temptation on the Saturday BBBBBuuuuuuttttttttttt!!!!!!!!!!! I have no will power so I got one on the Sunday Mine is dark brown, even if I do look silly in it, it is great for shading out the sun when trotting or rolling a bait about!!! Winter sees me in my litle blue wooly number, thinsulate lined to keep my ears warm. I am sure the fish don't care what I look like & I don't give a damn what anyone else thinks lyn

The favorite is probably the brown baseball cap with skunk (don't ask) written on the front. Colder weather brings out my stealth hat, a bright red wooly job, and on the real brass monkey days out comes the green thermal job with ear flaps. Should have seen Steve today i think he had about 6 on one of them was WHITE !!!!!!!! Big Mike Bad days fishing better than a good day at work :eek
