Im looking for a good mono hooklink in 8lb, ive seen sufix magic touch. Is it any good or is there something better?

i use gr60 in clear loop to loop in 10lb.

I had some Sufix Magic Touch in 8lb as a freebie quite some time ago and I liked it, I was using it as a mainline as well, never saw it for sale otherwise I probably would have bought some.

Everyone has their favourites and at the moment when it comes to mono, mine is ultima power plus. Havent tried the 8lbs bs though, only 10lbs. However, the diameter at 0.28mm is the same as many 8lb monos.

10lb Ultima PP, mainline and often hooklink. Yet to lose me a fish, fingers crossed.
Berkely XT in 6lb and 8lb (in reality 8lb and 10lb b.s.) is also good. |

Interesting, XT is my second choice in 8lb bs after the Ultima PP. Very strong and reliable (Berry reriable)!!

Hi guys,
I am searching for some line; Im a big fan of the colour of suffix synergy, is the ultima PP similar in colour? anyone know? If not, what colour is the PP? It says on the website it is 'olive green' which makes me think of Gt80 sort of colour?? Thanks in advance |

is a darkish green - a lot darker than the XT mentioned above, or than Gold Label Pro-Gold. Haven't seen Synergy that you mentioned. It's a good, tough line, but not too stiff and wiry.

Its not as green as suffix synergy, not as dark as dark green GT80 not as brown as fox soft steel, not as grey as shimano catana. The nearest line i can think of that matches it colour wise is drennan fly leader, almost. I expect that is completely unhelpful, but you really have to go and take a look at it.
