Posts: 735 (14/01/07 22:50) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	hi all, i have seen the site,looked at the images and even considered joining, but i have to ask, as you are allowed to bring along a guest free, would it be worth maybe 3-4 people chipping in towards the fee and fishing it that way, as i live over 250 miles away i feel i wouldnt be getting my money's worth by only fishing it maybe 3-4 times per season, therefore i would be willing to chip in at least half of the fee if it could be arranged this way. also does anyone know if you have to have your name down as a guest angler or can you just go down with a member? cheers john

That's the usual position. Maybe you could find a member who would be willing to take you along? Personally, if you can only make it 3 or 4 times a season I think your best bet for affordable fishing would be to fish the Royalty or for some quieter fishing, Lifelands or Bisterne on a ticket (though Bisterne is only open Auguast September and weather permitting in February), or pal up with a member of Ringwood or Christchurch to take you along as a guest on one of their stretches. There is the LAA stretch as well but the barbel are not exactly thick on the ground up there.

I think the ticket is value for money, not just for Barbel though as they are not that easy to find/catch. You also have the chance to fish for very large Chub, Roach to over 3lb, and if you like float fishing, 25/30lb bags of proper Dace. Well worth every penny in my opinion. If you fish during the week, you'll hardly meet a soul apart from Lin the bailiff. Send me a PM if you'd like me to be more specific. John from the light
