Yeah its a very good budget reel would not pay over 20 quid for it though this seems to be the going rate cheers shippo..

i have had both the ibf40 and ibf50 for over a year now great budget reels just the same as each other. only diffrence is the size I can only fault my ibf50 the large nut that holds the bail arm frame in place (remove any spool you will see what i mean) kept coming lose. A small dab of loctite tread lock solved that now i dont know if mine was a one off however this would not put me off buying another. imo the best reel you can buy for around £20 atb geoff |

I have move to the Epix Pro 40 but still use IBF50s for carp and pike. The IBF40 is a good reel for the price, I broke the micro clutch on one when I hit a snag but that was just me pulling to hard and knocking the free spool on, think I sheered the gears. I definately wouldnt let that experience put you off though, i was just being clumsy! I still have an IBF40 which I use when I have a two rod system going.

I've never used a GOOD Okuma.
They're OK if you don't go a lot or are inactive when you do go, truth is Okuma are just wannabe Shimano and both bow down to the mighty DAIWA. |

I have a Pair of LB 50"s which I use regularly, they have never let me down, just a bit on the big side, but they have a silky smooth clutch and a very adjustable freerun facility.. I have just bought a Daiwa Regal Z, and frankly IMO the LB 50 is a better reel.
