i never thought about just rolling a coated item over them to stick em, i dont think a cork ball is going to be the right thing though, maybe a smallish pellet or something unless i shove a shot or two in the cork...j.w<br>

I think you will find that the small live [pink] worms purchased in aquarium shops are tubifex and 'are' worms whilst 'bloodworms', the deep red worms used by match anglers are the larva of the Chironomous midge.<br>
Dick Walker suggested that tubifex tied up in a small ball made from a ladies stocking might be worth trying.<br>

When keeping an aquarium you can buy a perforated funnel in a floating ring in which the blood worm is supposed to bunch in a ball with their tails wiggling through the perforations.  The fish supposedly suck them through the holes to eat them.<br>

The reality is that they do as above but then wiggle all the way through.  If they are not intercepted by fish they disappear rapidly into the substrate.  Never to be seen until you clean the... ]]></description>

I am not sure but I think even Izaak mentions it in the bible. Hair rigging worms is diffficult and what I think you were asking origonally is disguising the hair. Havent used the bloodworm baits for the barbel but have done for carp and tench, but despite them being cracked up to be the next ''wonder bait'' i found them pretty average. Also, some of the bloodworm glugs seemed pretty good, but the more i thought about it, the more i thought that why would they go for this dead preserved stuff than soe of the real... ]]></description>
