size of thread you need is 5/16".
I made enquires at work and they reckon it's about £5 per metre.
One alternative is to buy a bolt then it can be cut to the required size.

There must be a (marine) engineer suppliers in your area, take the female bit to check if I'm right.

Stainless

steel might be more readily available .

Sorry, been inundated with work of late,....yes I did say I knew someone who made that sort of stuff for Solar tackle,..His name was Tony Abbott and he came from Andy Thatchers neck of the wood`s ,over there in Luton,....I`ve tried to get in touch with him but to no avail,....sorry I couldn`t help more......I don`t know if anyone goes into The Tackle Box in Kent, but Lee Jackson might know of his whereabouts.
