Been using Teme Severn lamprey sausages in 16mm, had 40+ barbel, 2 pike 9Lbs 3 oz one jack. no chub, or bream
The best barbel 8lbs 7 ozs Ironbridge area, i use small hooks 12 or 10 and short hook lengths.

Only use one rod, so i hard to say if these fish would be caught on different baits.

In my humble opinion, this a classic bait.
