I've walked the Mole numerous times from Betchworth to the A3. Now closed season is upon us I'd like to explore a little more.

I'd like to access the Mole downsteam of the A3.

Can anyone help out with access and whom owns stretches downstream of A3?

Some of the Mole is difficult to access (the piece looping near the M25 for instance and I'm assuming downstream of the A3 may be difficult in places too).

Heard their are a couple off here who are going to Church today.Same 'ol faces fishing the same 'ol places.

It was indeed very high (into the fields) yesterday morning and flying through.
It dropped very quickly during the day (2-3ft) but still very difficult with so much debris coming through.
Hoping its a bit better this afternoon as it's my last chance of the season.

Hi Guys

If anyone is out today, be careful because the river is as high as i've seen it this season, over the bank and pushing very hard. Went on the wey instead had a small one out of about 5lbs. If we have no more rain over the next couple of days, i'll give it a last bash on friday.
As for the chub, i've had very few this season, but most have been between 3-4lb best i've had was a 4 3/4lber never got me 5lber. I think there are some decent chub about but my...

Gents,

Just a quickie, I'm more a chubber than barbel angler (these days), how big do the chub go around Leatherhead/Cobham area.

There seem to be a hell of a head but not many over 4lb...... unless I'm mistaken.

With the weather as it is today in Crawley I would think the Mole will be spot on for a good close.
I was at Brooklands on Saturday and the Wey looked good. Shame that stretch is no longer on the ticket.
I fished the Thames at Windsor Racecourse last Friday and blanked so I must try and get one out of the Mole before the close ,but its Cheltenham week so I may not make it .
As for the pin .there were so many different style of Adcocks make its hard to know what came first ,the...

Well time is almost up for this season, been a up and down one. Learnt alot but still more to learn on the mole. Will spend abit of time in the close season looking for new swims both on the mole and the wey. Also will be getting a lodden ticket for...

JF - long term planning Probably the best environment and its an empty larder full of HUGE crays - can only fatten the fish up in the long term. Fish will move into it although I accept it will be a long time before it returns properly. And its probably the best chance of ever joining Brockham (I have an inbuilt avoidance gene of DAC )

Excuse my lack of knowledge - but why join Brockham, when we all know there's practically no fish in the river - and any that were stocked are really small, and best left to grow. Sure there may be the odd one or two that survived the incident of a few summers back, but is it worth the effort???

Dodge ,my CAS membership ran out on the 3rd , I am not renewing this year either , waiting for the same letter as you .
Giving the Thames a go tomorrow ,seeing if I can get one before the close .

From past observations high tide is about every 20-30 minutes - time taken to reach low tide depends on the general flow - anything from 5 - 30 minutes.

Sowerbutt - the trickle of a couple of weeks ago could have been caused by the gates and side stream being shut to allow some downstream side maintenance.

But as I haven't renewed my CAS ticket for Betchworth and as it inexplicably runs from 1st March to end Feb I won't be down there again this season (all 8 days...
