hi all .. fished Sth clifton sunday evening through to mnday morn with Tomas65.. managed 1 pike on squid n octoplus boilie lol and Tomas had 3 nice bream around 6lb a piece no barbel showing though :-( maybe a bit too cold for them...packed up around 3:30am as the wind got to bad..

OMG ...also last post of the season..... has it really been that bad ??

Could anyone give us a rough indication of how high the Tidal

fished the collingham area with 2 other lads-day trip from preston-6 barbel best of 7lb - bright but cold/windy clear water up by the weir

most of the scunthorpe stretches are on a day ticket,besthorpe,girton etc,at £17 for a book,not a bad investment.Collingham is also very accesible at about £5 for a day ticket.

hi all just joined up and would like to fish a stretch of the trent next to collingham while spending a weekend there fishing sapphire lakes,is it possible to fish the river on a day ticket. thanks for your help PS june/july sometime

Fished the non tidal on weds,level was 2 ft up and the temp was 45f,with the current high air temps it should be bang on for friday.Good luck!

went to a1 pits stretch of trent at weekend.it was up but running off fast. so i imagine it will be just about down now. we have not had much rain this week so its up to you. i,m going on friday til sunday to the none tidle stretch. i thing it generally fishes better down at collingham when it has been in flood and started to run off. good luck if you go.

I spoke to a club official(scunthorpe) this afternoon.They lease the fishing rights from the E.A,or DEFRA,or whatever they are calling themselves this week.And they stipulate in the lease that there is to be no night fishing.If you do night fish you may be asked to leave by an E.A bailiff.

Well according to this, Scunthorpe Angling Club don't allow night fishing on the River Trent full stop.

Mind you they don't allow fishing in the close season either but it doesn't stop some blatently fishing in full view of the road bridge complete with camper van

Lad I spoke to last night, who fishes it a fair bit (plenty of overnights)
and knows the bailiff quite well, doesn't know anything about the club
stopping nights.
