I saw your ouse post yesterday so nipped up yesterday and put it in just to bring down your seasons average size a bit . I did see a couple of small fish up by the weir run off during close season probably not stocked just 1 of the very few that manage to get through the 1st couple of years....

fished the Ivel today and caught a mint conditioned fish of about 1-08oz ish,first time ive caught one this size from the Ivel and wondered if it was stocked or natural bred.Does anyone know if there has been a re-stock of the Ivel.Rgds Paul

hi, has anyone fished on the ivel in the last day or so. looked at it saturday and the levels looked quite good even though it was cold.

went to the Walker book signing at Simon's shop [Walker's Pitch] and fished the Ivel while there, river at normal winter level with sligth tinge of colour. Just one roach of 1lb 9oz for the efforts though it did put up one hell of a scrap on the barbel gear

Went to the Ivel today after diverting from the Ouse due to a flooded road,caught a new PB 15lb 09oz on my 3rd cast,i was well chuffed.The river was up a couple of feet and chocolate brown but dropping about an inch per hour.Rgds Paul.

Now that i am in receipt of my Vauxhall book, i am going to have alook at the river for the first time, hopefully on Saturday.
Are some stretches better than others? i would be grateful for any pointers as this is the start of a new chapter in my fishing career, and i'm a relative barbel novice.
I think have a fast learning curve ahead of me........

So far general results seem pretty sparse to date, despite recent increased water levels

How's it looking now, as I fancy a run down there in the next day or so?

3. Cuddle One

I'm currently at stage 1, and hope to progress to stage 2 by the end of the season..
