			<description><![CDATA[ A real humdinger of a thread on a fly forum about the Usk and Wye Foundation, big-money grants and their meagre returns, local fishers and inhabitants v.
sundry, possibly cliquey, river mending and improving Trusts and Orgs and their sundry spin-off ventures and piggy-backers like Fly and Coarse Fishing Guides,
and much much else. I am posting a link to page 9 of the thread (the last page, so far); it kicked off on around page 5 from the fifteen minutes that I spent

Managed lat day sortie and managed a 9lb15oz  second best of the season for me. River was about 2ft higher water temp 7.1C. Spring is sprung even the bats were

			<description><![CDATA[ I used to notice the same thing when I was training for the raft race Rob and they were always big fish.

I found one washed up on a beach just above the bunch of carrots which I took with the intention of cleaning the scull and pharangial, (spelling), teeth but It
fell into the river again without me noticing somewhere downstream.

That one was at least a six and had no visible sign of damage, in fact, apart from it being dead it was fin perfect and with no smell or signs... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ <p>Noticed a few dead chub floating about on three differenrt stretches over the passed couple of weeks, most strange. I have noticed this over a few years at
this time of year, wonder why?. I weighed one huge looking fish, not bloated up,very smelly, no sign of hook marks, 6.10. I cut them up chuck em in for the
pike, waste not want not. Shame though , something about this time of year and dead chub, bet they dont all float up and some just rot on the bottom.

Had a little jaunt up to Hereford today. Popped in to Woodys tackle and they gave me some directions and even to a swim. Another result 3 Barbel to just under
8lbs. Many thanks goes out to them for their assistance. Water temp 7.0C. Must lighten my tackle for those long walks next time lololol

			<description><![CDATA[ Just returned from a quite remarkable day on your beautiful river. Hooked 29 barbel, landed 23 one of which was foul hooked . River in A1 condition, nice tinge
of colour and up about 2&#39;. No massive fish, largest two were 8lb 13oz averaging around 7lb 4oz - 7lb 8oz. Soaked pellet feeder with either pellet or boilie
on the hook. A magical day in such wonderful surroundings.
