Hi all my dear, dear fellow Thamesters.
May I wish you all luck this term.
I’m so excited I can’t wait to get into it, there are so many good fish going to come from the old Farther, and what’s more it’s going to get better and better the more it’s fished. We have seen a few tasters, some great fish turning up the last few years. What other river is so unknown, with infinite potential. Fantastic opportunity awaits us all.
Cheers Dick

Ian, interesting, re levels at bray?? maybe they were filling QM reservoir and others? The tea colour is quite usual at this time of year, some form of algae,
but it will slow, or stop weed growth, which may inturn effect spawning? Saw no signs of fish activity, not even small stuff, but the timing of my lookabout
was probably too early to see fish rolling etc.

Hmmm,
Interesting re the level on the lower. Jumped into the tin bath this afternoon and chugged up through Bray and Maidenhead. Those pounds still a decent level,
certainly above normal summer levels. All gates open at Bray and water charging over.
Water a horrible tea colour...

  Hello all

Might be paying the price for the amount of water they were running off during the winter months, The wiers and sluices seemed to running at full capacity
for alot more of the time than I can remember previously.

Don`t know about the Thames but the chub and barbel are at it big style on the Wey at the moment. Nearly every gravel run I looked at this week is black with
chub and a good few barbel too.

So have you seen any signs of spawning by the barbel or carp yet Pete? I guess it can't be long now, perhaps this year the close will be at the right time
for the majority of species?

OK, so who nicked all the water???????????, just had a look around some favorite haunts, the river is at a very low level, not seen for a year or so, and then
only in august. The flow is negligable, especially considering the wet winter/spring, This doesn,t bode well for the new season, if predictions of a hot summer
are true, but they said that last year!!!
