Dial 0800 807060 and tell the Environment Agency. Even if they don't send anyone out this time they will have to log it and the more reports the more likely the Tw@ will get his collar felt.

Walked the banks at Kellaways last week, river looked amazing above the weir but not a lot of water going over it.

Hello all,

Had a little wander down the Chippenham free stretch yesterday. Plenty of chub showing but didn't spot any boris. Did however spot a Pikey fully camped up with three carp rods out just downstream of the Weir. Anyone up for wandering down en masse to explain the error of his ways?

Hi All,
Just had the most fantastic experience on one of the BAA stretches near Claverton. I have stayed away from the river since the end of the season but today I couldn't resist going to the check that the river was ok. The BA was low and clear and I could make out luminous streamer weed through my polaroids. I haven't seen a barbel since March 2007 so I was very excited to see 10 or 12 fish spawning in the shallows on the inside of a bend. I watched them at it for about...

Caught my first out of season fisher today. Just informed the lad (about 18) of the rules and he went on his way with his mate very poorly equipped no net just a rod and some tackle but at least I got no grief he was part of the swimming brigage at Lacock...Clive

I am going through my tackle bag, cleaning, sorting etc etc eagerly looking forward to June and i appear to have misplaced (lost more like!) a camera. It was a Fuji Finepix, in like a blue waterproof bag. if i lost it out and about, it would have been around lacock (abbeyfields). I realise that if someone who posts would have found it they would have mentioned it ... but worth the try. thanks and regards Des

The point I guess I was trying to make,.which was probably what Nigel took offence to, is that naming names on here is not, in my opinion, the best way to go,..it could, obviously, create more escalating problems, as I outlined in my previous post,....looking back I may have been a bit terse,..and I could have worded it better,..

Nigel knows,..I`m sure,..that nobody wants him to stop posting,..I enjoy reading them...

sorry i appear to have upset some people i only tried to cure a situation in a way that i thought might be the least detrimental to both myself and the culprit. I would hate to see anyone stop posting as its always a pleasure to read when unable to fish oneself especially "manu" as you fill in the days that are not succesful as well. No offence taken regarding your comments" manu." Anyway rightly or wrongly my objective was to stop someone from doing something very stupid...

He has a right not to mention names and is entitled to his privacy and seems to have posted this in a very responsible way to dissuade the said angler rather than public out him which could be harmfull to Spirit or the said idiot fishing out of season...Just my point of view ...Clive
