Robert,

The debate as to whether one should wash ones balls or not has always been a hot topic of conversation down here in Deb'n, and I must say that opinions are sharply divided on the matter. One school of thought is that clean balls will always get you more bites while others swear by leaving them "au naturale" and some even go so far as to leave them in the warm to "go off" a bit. At the end of the day does it really matter; as long as you are getting your...

If you tip the whole tin into a course seive and then gently run warm water over them it will remove the 'goo', you can then place them in the oven on a low heat to toughen up the skin. You can also leave them out in the sun as agian this will toughen up the skin. If you are not casting any real distance then i dont feel toughening the skins up is necessary. I believe Enterprise Tackle make a little device to retain the softer meat ball on the hook/hair which while a little fiddley works very...

There isn't an easy way of saying this without fear of deletion, but it would appear that completely clean balls are the order of the day!
As with all things there is a method which this guy employs and he is exceptionally good at it, catching upwards of twenty doubles in a season.

Without a doubt still one of the top baits out there.
