			<description><![CDATA[ The man behind Essential products, Mike Wilmott, knows a serious amount of stuff about bait. I would pit the B5 against any commercially available fishmeal bait. The additives are very carefully considered and at just the right levels.<br>

Although not using it now, I have in the past and would have every confidence in ti again.<br>

What I am using now is his savoury meat additive, mixing it in groundbait. Expensive, but abso-bloody-lutely fantastic!<br>

			<description><![CDATA[ Have had some good results over the years on essential baits products. The shellfish B5 still stands up as a top quality boilie and basemix and takes some beating, whats more, barbel love em. The frozen b5s are worth every penny, just wish they'd do 12mm or 10mm.<br>

Yup. I've used them before. My bro lives about 3 miles from them so he put me onto them a number of years ago. The mix I used was the Patshull Park Mix - flavoured with blue cheese and mexican onion. And it was a cracking bait. Caught my PB on it, and plenty of other biggies as well. We called it 'Walkers' and if you ask for it by that name, Simon will know what you mean.<br>

I've no idea how a fish's sense of smell and taste works, but you lads out there who've carried out a lot of trials of your own will have learnt by experiment what does and does not mix. For instance, does mixing somthing sweet with somthing spicey put the fish off or just give them a kind of choice? or if you mix say, monster crab with another taste does it totally alter the end product and make it useless? I'm debating whether to take the plunge for some M2 mix, unless I can find some cheap JB Savoury spice, which has been a favourite for a while now.<br>

Use Monster Crab or Frankfurter sausage flavours with it.<br>
Caught stacks of massive carp on it and had the Teme barbel hooked on it a few autumns ago.<br>
Very, very very good value for a great product.<br>
Have to say though I use Halibut pellets and Dynamite Baits halibut... ]]></description>

I fancy trying something savoury with maybe marmite, and not for lunch. Must get a good leakage from that!<br>
I was thinking milk powder, but I like the semolina suggestion for sweeter baits, I think I read on a post ages ago that milk is a bit dodgy for barbs digestion, not sure if I remembered right.<br>

			<description><![CDATA[ My friends and me often use a basemix made out of 80 % grounded Frolic dog food and 20 % durum wheat (by weight). We do not feel that we really have to ad any flavour, but do so every now and then. What keeps us away from adding to many things are the connivance off being able to go down to the supermarket and pick up a couple bags of Frolic on the way out to do the prebaitning. I do not know about the barbell, but carp, bream and tench just loves Frolic and boilies and paste made out that... ]]></description>
