			<title><![CDATA[ Water level control ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ Don't know about the rest of you out there but my barbel fishing is pretty much controlled by the management of water levels by the E.A. The wier pool is right where the water goes under a bridge and is split inot 3. The 2 outer wier levels are fixed, but the middle section has a gate which can be raised and lowered. It was nice last week with plenty of water coming through but they have set the centre gate too low and i am back to summer level with hardly any flow at all.<br>

does anyone avoid fishing with the full moon and clears Sky's, i ask because i was out the other night and weather was spot on, plenty of cloud and warm compared to what we have had lately, had a 5Ib Barbel with 30mins.<br>

Then the clouds cleared and the moon was so bright it was like having a torch shining in my eyes. I didn't catch all night till about 07.30 Moon gone and i had a carp. <br>

So was it the moon or temp drop?<br>

The fish on the front page caught by the elder Mr BornAgainFisher was hooked cleanly through the upper mouth curtain.  With carp the curtain is an indication that a fish has never been caught - is this the same for Barbel and can anyone tell me why they disappear when the fish has been caught?<br>
