Time will tell if they are actually any good for fishing, but they did have grey/amber/blue (?interesting) lenses. Initial views of strengthened glass are pretty good!
I've been getting to fish for some clearwater Barbel lately and it's fascinating. It's as much fun watching them and testing things out as it is fishing for them!
Much of the stuff I've been reading in your articles over the years is starting to make sense! I do wonder how we ever catch Barbel from coloured water though. I'm now paranoid if I can't see them.
An introduction first.
I have been fishing for the last 40 or so years. I started course angling in 1984, after switching from sea fishing ( boat / beach and pier), and started fishing local matches, and then later started fishing for, and catching large carp from lakes. Even to the extent of running a small carp syndicate for several years. During this time I fished many lakes and rivers around the country, and it was during...

Me and a mate went fishing on a small river on saturday with the intention to catch our first barbel and whatever else we could catch. We were told that there are chub in the river to just over 5lb and barbel to over 8 and a half pound. Eventually, well, about 30 minuted before we went home, we found a swim with some nice barbel.
