I've been getting to fish for some clearwater Barbel lately and it's fascinating. It's as much fun watching them and testing things out as it is fishing for them!

1) Don't stick to fishing the same old swims, its still worth trying swims that have never produced in the past.

2) For every 1 barbel caught mid river 4 are caught within a foot of the bank

3) When you get those nagging thoughts to move swims, change bait ect, do it.. I don;t know why maybe 6th senst or somethign but more often than not they pay off

I purchased up a new 6000gte at the weekend, and feel that compared to the 6010gte it felt heavier despite weight saving cutouts and their claims.

I am yet to breakdown my rod set up to put them on the scales but was wondering if anyone esle had noticed a differrence with the new reels compared to the old ones.
