A spot sample survey is currently underway to establish river & brook lamprey numbers. As part of this Willie Yeomans from the Clyde Foundation sampled an area of the lower Clyde. The spot electro fishing turned up lampreys, minnows and a number of 35/42mm barbel.

You know when a barbel is put into a "normal" keepnet that the spike on it's dorsal fin will get caught and lead to a tear at best, mutilation at worst.
