Seen everything from tackle and bait, to getting the fish on the hook on here, but never seen any discussion on what everyone does after that, while playing a fish.<br>
I know that to most it has probably become an instinctive act and  not easy to describe, but there are quite a few newcomers to the sport, that think pure bullying is the order of the day. <br>
What is the difference between that and skill?.<br>

			<description><![CDATA[ Don't think this has been raised as a topic before and would be pleased to hear your views. A glug is a compound (eg Salmon Oil) or mixture of compounds (Amino compounds and flavour etc) that you soak your hookbait in for sometime before consigning it to the river - on baited hook of course!<br>
Another thing is do they work better than plain hookers?<br>

        just had another barbelless session using dead maggots as bait. In fact after 3 sessions I have only ever landed 1 barbel on them, and that was from a stretch where me mate had 10 from 40 yds above on live maggots.<br>
Chub seem to absolutely love em, as do tench, carp and not forgetting our beloved Eels. But what about Barbel ??<br>

After getting a very wet foot yesterday a close examination revealed an area of rubber had perished and there was a 1.5 cm split.<br>

They only lasted 2 seasons but were cheap.<br>
