If an electronic image/picture is required to be printed then 300 dpi (dots per inch) resolution is
probably best, and printers can usually alter the actual size to suit your needs. But if it is required to

You may well find that with your ISP (Internet Servce Provider) account comes an allocation of web-space to use, for example, for your own web-site, which also could be used for hosting some of your pictures. But this web-space may be limited in size, so hosting pictures may be best done elsewhere.
