I used a hummingbird smartcast this week to feature find a new length of river.

<p><font face="Helv" size="2">I knew nothing about this length so I took my RF15e smartcast to see if I could find any features. As you can see from my
diagram, I found a huge underwater feature that creates a huge shelf. The smartcast didnt find any fish on its way down to the shelf but as it went over it,
the smartcast starting beeping like you wouldnt believe, picking up a huge shoal of fish of... ]]></description>

      i am looking to go barble fishing for the 1st time very soon. me and a group of friends have been looking for somewhere as local to us as possible to try out, and have found this stretch of the river trent. there are 7 pegs owned by a fishery, which is very near to the A616 (Newark).<br>
     i've never been there yet, and i can't find any decent pictures to show you, so i'm just hoping 1 of you guys has fished it and can offer me/us some tips.<br>

More information: there are shallow rapids around 50 yards upstream, there's a deep hole (8 - 10ft) starting at T14 ending at P11 and in the foreground there's a ledge about 2 ft deep.<br>

More information: there's a weir 30 yards upstream, the river in the picture is flowing at around 5 ft at it's deepest.<br>
